U.S. Sentences Do Kwon to 15 Years for Fraud
A U.S. federal court sentenced Terraform Labs co-founder Do Kwon to 15 years in prison for fraud related to the collapse of the Terra–Luna ecosystem. The ruling follows Kwon’s guilty plea to key fraud charges after his extradition from Montenegro to the United States.
In addition to imprisonment, at least USD 19 million in assets will be forfeited under the plea agreement. The case represents one of the strongest criminal enforcement actions against a crypto founder and signals heightened global scrutiny of digital asset misconduct.
