The investigation by Special Prosecutor Min Jung-ki’s team has reached a significant turning point following the detention of Mrs. Kim Geon-hee. Immediately after her arrest, the special prosecution conducted simultaneous raids on the People Power Party headquarters and companies involved in the presidential residence renovation. Mrs. Kim was also summoned for a second interrogation as the investigation accelerated. Currently, 16 allegations are under investigation, including violations of the Capital Markets Act, the Political Funds Act, and bribery.

Regarding this,  Partner Shinyoung Choi assessed, “Under the Special Prosecutor Act, a total of 110 days are allowed, including a 20-day preparation period, and extensions of up to 30 days twice are possible if necessary.
